Eric Charles Day and his bride, Kaitlin Elizabeth Mathers, both of Pasadena, Md., were united in marriage during a 4 p.m. ceremony Oct. 22 at the Riu Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The bride, a daughter of Diane and Gerald Mathers of Davidsonville, Md., and the groom, a son of Karen and Robert Day of Berlin Center, plan a delayed honeymoon to Punta Cana in the spring.
Danielle Mathers, sister of the bride, served as her maid of honor, and Megan Day, the groom’s sister, and Kristie Spiker served as bridesmaids.
The groom’s brothers Ryan Day and Adam Day shared best-man duties. Andrew Mathers, brother of the bride, was a groomsman.
The bride earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education and a master’s in early childhood education from Towson University. She is a kindergarten teacher for Anne Arundel County Public Schools in Glen Burnie, Md.
The groom earned a degree in elementary education from Bethany College and is working on a master’s in curriculum and instruction with a focus on administration from McDaniel College. He is employed as a fourth-grade teacher for Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
