Deputy: Hubbard home invasion rumors are false

Reports of a home invasion in Hubbard Township that left five people dead are false.

A deputy with the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department said about 15 people called Tuesday evening inquiring about a rumor that five people were killed that day during a home invasion on Chestnut Ridge Road.

The deputy said the rumor isn’t true.

Sheriff’s deputies were told the rumor somehow got started on the Internet.
