Penn Power working to fix outage in Enon Valley, Pa. area


ENON VALLEY, Pa. — Penn Power was working today to restore power to 1,000 customers in the Enon Valley area after power lines were knocked down around noon.

Brian Melcer, Lawrence County director of Public Safety, said he isn’t sure what knocked down the lines along state Route 551. Pennsylvania State Police would provide no information.

Penn Power was working to restore power to most customers by 5 p.m. and to all customers by 11 p.m.

The Red Cross set up warming shelters at Darlington Township Building, 3590 Darlington Road in Darlington, and in the SNPJ Alpine Room in SNPJ borough.
