Missing boy found; man in custody

Township police arrested 56-year-old Charles Walker after authorities in Garfield Heights, about 10 miles southeast of Cleveland, issued an Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old boy at 8 a.m. Saturday.

According to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, Garfield Heights police believe Walker took Gauge Cox from the boy’s home around midnight and traveled to Bazetta Township to stay with relatives.

Police found Walker and the boy at the relative’s house on Warren-Meadville Road.Police say Walker gave up without incident.

Police said Walker was a boarder at the boy’s home. Charges are expected to be filed Monday.
