Miss. Simpson's first-grade class at Watson Elementary worked together to make a mural. Here, they show off their creation.

Watson Elementary first and second-grade art students of Jennifer Houston created two large murals that will be on display at a rainforest-themed event at Fellows Riverside Garden Davis Center during the first week of December.

Some of the key elements of the murals include a toucan sitting on a branch, painted by first-grader Dalton Fife, and a large frog on a painted leaf, by Isabella Fritz.

Fritz used multiple colors and blended them to create a nice effect on the frog.

The garden center is hosting the event for children to enjoy artwork created by area schools and art education students at Youngstown State University.
