Rotary speaker discusses Goodwill program

Mentors in the making: Don Garrett, left, of Youngstown Goodwill Industries spoke recently at a meeting of the Youngstown Rotary Club regarding the Goodwill Goodguides program. The youth program provides a one-on-one mentor to low-income, at-risk youngsters by older mentors and includes the youths’ families. The mentors are required to commit for one year, have a minimum of four hours per month with the youth, and communicate with the parents. With Garrett is Rotarian John Fahnert.
