Jamie Marich of Howland and Bruce Merkin of Howland, formerly of Bethlehem, Pa., were united in marriage Sept. 11 at St. Brendan Church.
Officiating at the interfaith ceremony were the Rev. James Daprile of St. Brendan; Rabbi Bruce Abrams of Cleveland Heights; and the Rev. Betsy Schenk of First United Methodist Church, Girard.
A reception at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland honored the daughter of Rosie Marich of Austintown and Pete Marich of Youngstown, and the son of Norman Merkin of Bethlehem and the late Natalie Merkin.
The honor attendant was Amber Stiles-Bodnar, and serving as best man was Michael Eadie.
In lieu of the traditional wedding party, Michelle Bails, Ellen DeCarlo, Heather Logan-Turner and Mary Riley were chuppah holders.
The couple honeymooned on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The bride is a counselor with PsyCare Inc. and an independent training consultant in the human services field.
The groom is the medical director of Glenbeigh Hospital in Rock Creek, Ohio, and a physician with GMA Consultants out of Cleveland.
