Here is a listing of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services open to the public at area churches. Christmas Eve is Friday and Christmas Day is Saturday.

BAPTIST

Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman: Christmas Eve celebration at 7 p.m. featuring a Jamaican Islander theme cantata, “Hope Has Hands,” by the chancel choir. Communion will be available.

Bread of Life Church of God in Christ, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown: A candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. led by Pastor Rocco V. Wellington will begin with a program by the Sunday School/Youth Department directed by missionary Avis Santiago.

Harvest Point Church, 6100 Tod Ave., Warren: Candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. with communion.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield: Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m.

Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 2051 E. Market St., Warren: Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. will have a full choir, children’s message and child care available and the 11 p.m. candlelight service will feature the Men’s Chorus. Both services will include communion.

Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman: Christmas Eve worship at 7 p.m.

First Christian Church of Girard, 140 E. Broadway Ave., Girard: Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m.

St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 614 Parmelee Ave., Youngstown: Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. with Eucharist. Light refreshments will be served after the service.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown: Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. for families and a candlelight Mass at 11 p.m. with music beginning at 10:30. Christmas Day and Dec. 26 services at 10 a.m. with Holy Eucharist.

West Austintown United Methodist Church, 6749 Mahoning Ave., Austintown: Christmas Eve family service at 7 p.m. with Christmas message by the Rev. Dan Bryant, Mahoning Valley District superintendent of the East Ohio Conference. Kerry Miller will play the harp a half-hour before the service.
