Canfield swimmers sweep Hubbard
Neighbors | Submitted .Canfield High School girls swim and dive team members Mallory Allen, Hilary Allen, Olivia Williamson and Briana O’Malley won first place in the 200-yard free relay at Youngstown State University. The team defeated Hubbard 150-30 Dec. 7.
The Canfield High boys and girls swimming and diving team defeated Hubbard in a dual meet Dec. 7 at Youngstown State University.
The girls’ team final score was 150-30 and the boys’ team was 129-39.
In girls action, Mallory Allen won the 200-yard free and the 500-yard free. She was also part of Canfield’s winning 200-yard free and 400-yard free relay teams.
Olivia Williamson took the top spot in the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard breaststroke. She competed as part of the Cards’ victorious 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard free relay squads.
Briana O’Malley won the 100-yard butterfly and was part of the winning 200-yard medley and 200-yard free relay teams. Taylor Rodenbaugh touched the wall first in the 10-yard backstroke, Hilary Allen won the 100-yard free and Ally Chiu won the diving competition.
On the boys side, Gavin Trebilcock claimed victories in the 200-yard free, 100-yard free and was part of Canfield’s winning 200-yard and 400-yard free relay teams.
Daniel Bogen won the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard IM. He was a member of the Cards’ wnning 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard free relay squads.
Adam Weiss won the 50-yard free, Drew Wellham claimed the 100-yard fly, Chris Wilkins was first in the 500-yard free and Calin Solomon won the 100-yard backstroke.
