STRUTHERS

Only one of the three men implicated in a Poland Township burglary ring posted bond Wednesday shortly after arraignment in Struthers Municipal Court.

Poland Township police arrested Josh Maldonado, 23; Duane E. Stamp, 48; and Jack A. Sallaz, 37. Police say they are suspects in a string of burglaries in the area of Manor, Knollwood and Country Lane.

Maldonado, of Youngstown, posted $5,000 bond Wednesday.

He is charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property and will have a preliminary hearing Dec. 22.

Three counts of complicity to burglary were dismissed and replaced with the receiving-stolen- property charges.

Stamp, of Campbell, and Sallaz, of Struthers, had not posted bond as of Wednesday afternoon.

Stamp faces six counts of felony burglary and is held in lieu of $60,000 bond — $10,000 for each charge. He will appear in court for a hearing Dec. 29.

Sallaz pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property and will be sentenced in that case March 28.

He waived his right to a preliminary hearing on the felony charge of receiving stolen property, and that case was bound over to a grand jury.

Sallaz will be in court for a preliminary hearing Wednesday to face a felony burglary charge.

Initial police reports listed the stolen items as valued at more than $10,000.
