Talk-show host Glenn Beck visits SW Ohio city

WILMINGTON, Ohio (AP) — Conservative commentator Glenn Beck says he’s impressed with the resilience of economically struggling Wilmington, Ohio.

Beck broadcast his radio show today from the small southwest Ohio city that lost thousands of jobs with the move of DHL Express air shipping from its air park.

The Cincinnati Enquirer quotes Beck as saying he doesn’t have a message for Wilmington but Wilmington has a message for the rest of the country.

Other events planned for the day included Beck’s Fox News Channel TV show, a book-signing and a sold-out Christmas show at a theater.

The Wilmington News Journal reports businesses around the city of 12,000 are hosting live-stream video showings of the stage show.

TV show hosts Jay Leno and Rachael Ray visited Wilmington last year.
