Youngstown diverted at least 60 percent of materials from 26 vacant homes from landfills this year. The goal was to divert at least 60 percent of materials from 50 structures. A Tuesday article on Page A3 incorrectly stated the goal.

Students from Lowellville Middle and High schools also helped build the rainforest room display for “Holiday Scent-Sations” inside Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. The district wasn’t mentioned among a list of other participating schools in Sunday’s Page A3 article.
