Police: Pa. teen made threat against school online
FAWN GROVE, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania teen is facing a misdemeanor charge after he allegedly made a Facebook threat directed at his school.
State police say the 14-year-old student referred to the Columbine shooting in his post. School officials learned of the post last week, and state police were quickly notified.
Trooper Mike Mitchell says the student was carrying no weapons. Mitchell says the student would have faced a felony charge if investigators thought he intended to carry out an attack.
The student is charged with making terroristic threats. The charge was forwarded to York County Juvenile Probation.
Authorities are not identifying the student because of his age.
