Police have arrest warrants out for two people who are charged in a burglary at a Lowellville Road house.
Detective Jeff Pantall said Sergio R. Rivera, 26, of Wendover Circle in Youngstown and Nicole M. Ballester, 29, of Terrace Drive in Boardman are charged with aggravated burglary. The warrants went out Friday, Pantall said. The burglary occurred at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 14.
The resident awoke to the sound of her door being kicked in downstairs, a police report said.
The woman’s dog was barking, and she also heard a bell she had rigged to her door begin to ring, the report said.
She yelled downstairs that she had a gun.
Her purse with $1,000 was taken from the kitchen, and police found a screen door had been cut. Pantall said the burglary was an inside job. He said police looked at evidence that pointed toward Rivera.
Ballester was a health-care provider for the victim, he said.
