Woman faces OVI charge after accident

A Warren woman who was driving a car that struck a pedestrian on North Road has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.

Shalina Rose, 28, was trying to turn left out of Timber Creek Apartments Saturday night when the car struck Phillip McNeal, 24, of Warren, who was walking along North, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Southington Post.

McNeal was transported to Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Neither Rose, nor her passenger, Loretta Thomas, 28, of Warren, was injured. The crash remains under investigation by OSP, and additional charges may be filed.
