State OKs waiver day to address issues at Chaney High

YOUNGSTOWN

Chaney High School students will have an extra day off this month so that the staff and Youngstown schools administration can address fights and other issues.

The Ohio Department of Education granted a waiver day for Dec. 21, and Youngstown school officials will answer questions about the day off at 6:15 p.m. today, between the board caucus at 5:30 p.m. and the regular board of education meeting at 6:30 p.m.
