Some areas could get 2 feet of snow by Tuesday, meteorologist says

Trumbull and Mercer counties could get as much as two feet of snow by early Wednesday, said Tina Pietrondi, a meteorologist with 21 WFMJ-TV.

She expects at least one foot of snow in those two counties even if the storm isn’t as bad as expected.

Also, those in Mahoning and Lawrence counties should get 6 to 12 inches of snow, and residents of Columbiana County should see 4 to 8 inches, Pietrondi said.

That’s not all. It’s already bitterly cold with wind chills below zero expected today and Tuesday, she said.

The snow should taper off by late Tuesday night and the winds will calm down by Wednesday, she said.
