Advisory committee members elected by Trumbull County 4-H program


CORTLAND

The Trumbull County 4-H program recently elected new members to the 4-H Advisory Committee, which is made up of 4-H volunteers, business and community representatives and youth leaders.

The advisory committee has five three-year terms that are elected each year, and current 4-H volunteers and new volunteers are eligible to run for the positions.

The committee also has business/community at-large positions that are elected annually for one-year-terms.

Elected to three-year terms were:

Barb Ames of Champion, an adviser for Silver Claws 4-H Club and an adviser for 27 years who is a returning member of the advisory committee.

Laura DePizzo of Cortland, an adviser for the East Ohio 4-H Club, an adviser for nine years and a returning member of the advisory committee.

Matt Hartman of Leavittsburg, an adviser for Trumbull County Cattle 4-H Club, an adviser for seven years and a new member to the advisory committee.

Mel Liddle of Cortland, a 4-H resource leader for Trumbull County, an adviser for nine years and a returning member of the advisory committee.

Heather Letcher of Cortland, an adviser for the Happy Hams 4-H Club, an adviser for four years and a new member to the advisory committee.

Elected to one-year terms were:

Karen Mitchell of West Farmington, a resource leader for 17 years who is involved with the 4-H Endowment Committee and is a returning member of the advisory committee.

Jim Hughes of Cortland, a resource leader for 14 years who is also involved with the endowment committee and is a returning member of the advisory committee.

Appointed to fill a vacancy on the advisory committee was John Danso of Warren, a 4-H resource leader for Trumbull County and an adviser for 15 years who is involved with the dog program and is a returning member to the committee.

Continuing members of Trumbull 4-H Advisory Committee are: Melissa Chaney, Deb Kovacs and Deb Thornton, all of Cortland; Marcie Helberg, Jeff List and Shirley Walters, all of Bristolville; and Ginny Taylor and Rick Kelley of Champion.

Filling three youth positions on the advisory committee are Meagan Jackson of Warren, Jenna DePizzo of Cortland and Thomas Shay of Newton Falls.
