The Mahoning Trumbull Academy of Trial Lawyers has elected its officers for 2011. Attorney Timothy Rudge was elected the new president to serve for the 2011 term. Attorney Shawn Scharf was named vice president. Attorney Mark Gervelis was elected treasurer and attorney Tom Mikulka was named secretary. Attorneys Patrick Fire and James Pazol have agreed to chair the organization’s annual seminar, a source of advanced education and training for lawyers practicing civil law representing those injured on the job, in car accidents and by medical malpractice.

Youngstown native Nikki Nocera, a partner at the Chicago law firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon, has been named one of 2010’s “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” by Law Bulletin Publishing Co. Nocera, who works in the firm’s litigation department, was recognized for her skill in winning complex commercial cases.
