Capital 74, Mount Union 70

COLUMBUS

Capital erased an eight-point second half deficit with a 16-3 run to edge Mount Union. Tyler Munro hit five three-pointers and had 19 points and D.J. Frazier had 13 points but it was the bench for Capital (6-2, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) led by 14 from Kelly Winter and 11 from Spencer Niekamp that made the difference and outscored the Purple Raiders reserves 35-10. Mount Union (2-6, 1-2 OAC) got season-high 20-point efforts from Jimmy Wood and Matt Wier while Dave Pellerite had 15 points.

CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY.

Sophomore guard Doug Smith scored a game-high 23 points as the Titans (1-7, 0-3 Presidents’ Athletic Conference) lost their sixth straight game and their 12th straight on the road, The Saints (4-2, 2-0) remain in first place. Junior forward Steve Cress scored 14 points and sophomore forward Adam Carswell bucketed a season-high 10 points.

Waynesburg 63, Grove City 57

GROVE CITY, PA.

Senior forward Luke Tomaselli led Grove City (4-4, 1-2 PAC) with 16 points. Brett Matson and Sam Barnhill both added 11 points. Jeff Young and Luke Baker each fired in 14 points for Waynesburg.

Hiram 74, Denison 69

GRANVILLE

The Terriers (5-4, 1-2 North Coast Athletic Conference) were led by Aaron Stefanov with 16 points. Andrew Wiegand finished with 14 points and senior two-time All-NCAC guard Chris Roberts added 10 points. Senior forward Babajide Eniola grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

Mount Union 65, Capital 44

COLUMBUS

Brittany Kilgore recorded her second straight double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Purple Raiders (6-1, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference). Katie Crider added 12 points for the Purple Raiders while Amanda Rose and Kayla Rossman cashed in nine points apiece. Kori Wiedt and Rose grabbed nine and seven rebounds, respectively.

Slippery Rock 67, Notre Dame College 64

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA.

Danielle Smith recorded her first collegiate double-double and the Rock closed the game with a 9-0 run. The win snapped a six-game losing streak and an eight-game winning streak for the Falcons. Smith finished with game-highs of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Sherita Stanley added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Marlynda Harland finished with 14 points and six rebounds off the bench. Shannon Lee also recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and handing out 10 assists as The Rock placed four players in double-figure scoring for the first time all season.

Freshman guard Gabby Holko scored nine points to lead the Titans (2-7, 0-4 PAC).

Titans starters combined for just 17 points. Freshman guard Courtney Zitt came off the bench to score eight points. Senior guard Kaitlin McCarthy (Lowellville) led the Westminster starters with seven points.

Christine Slater fired in a game-high 24 points while Leah Gibson posted 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds for The Rock (4-4, 1-2 PAC). Allison Wells added nine points. Waynesburg (6-1, 2-1) lost for the first time.
