Youngstown resident Felicia Briggs, a former drug addict, was one of the three women recently honored at the Junior League of Youngstown’s “Three Wonderful Women” event for overcoming extreme obstacles in their lives. Briggs is now a Women’s Program case manager at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic.

Felicia Briggs, right, is pictured with her children, Jodeci Briggs, 16, and Bernard Hasley, 20. Briggs said becoming a mother slowed her ‘fast life’ down some, but not enough to give up drugs. She says if it weren’t for her own mother, should would have lost her kids.
