Watson kindergartners had their heads turned to the sky Nov. 19, as Armstrong Cable’s Kid’s Corner Show hosted a star-themed story and craft time.

The host of Kid’s Corner, Krista White, was a natural around the students, but insists she wasn’t always so comfortable.

“This job came into my life after I had my own children, and I realized how much I really do love kids,” White explained. “Reading and crafting with kids? It’s so fun, I almost can’t believe I get paid for it.”

White planned an educational, creative, and age-appropriate story time around stars for the students. After a story about the big and little dippers, White sang a song about stars. Afterward, she started a starry night craft with white stars and chalk and black construction paper.

The hour of footage taped at Watson will be shown on Armstrong’s Channel 20 through March 2011.
