‘Scrooge’ holiday play

COITSVILLE

"The Gospel According to Scrooge,” a Christian adaptation of the novel “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, will be performed at 7 tonight, Sunday, Friday and Dec. 18 and 19 at Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road (U.S. Route 422). The holiday play is in its 20th year at the church. Pastor Joe Thomas directs the show and plays the lead role. Admission is free.

The playwright, John Worre, will be on hand for the final performance Dec. 19.

Featured ballerina in ‘Sleeping Beauty’

Youngstown

Elena Cvetkovich, daughter of Tom and Karres Cvetkovich, of Glacierview Road, is featured in the title role of Princess Aurora in the Russian ballet “Sleeping Beauty,” the annual winter dance offering at Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen, Mich.

Cvetkovich is a dance student at the academy, which hosts high school students from the U.S. and 25 countries. She will graduate from the academy in May. Cvetkovich spent her freshman year at Ursuline High School and took ballet training with Ballet Western Reserve. She graduated from the Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley.

Bike night benefits Toys for Tots

The final bike night of the year will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Quaker Steak & Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd., to benefit Toys for Tots. Each $5 unwrapped toy or monetary donation brought by participants will be good for a chance for a prize, which will be drawn at 10 p.m.
