Elizabeth Allison, daughter of Mindy and Doug Johnson of Lordstown, and Ryland Mathews, son of Bonnie and Jeff Mathews of Kinsman, are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.
The couple have chosen Jan. 11 as the date for their 11 a.m. wedding on Lighthouse Beach in Sanibel Island, Fla. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for a postnuptial reception Jan. 28 at McMenamy’s Banquet Center in Niles.
The bride-to-be graduated from Kent State University with an associate degree in physical therapy assisting and from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a minor in biology. She is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Findlay and is a physical therapy assistant with TuDor Therapy Centers in Columbiana.
The prospective groom graduated from KSU with a bachelor’s degree in English and is a retail sales representative with Verizon Wireless in Niles.
