Warren Women’s Connection has canceled its “Melodies of Christmas” luncheon scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, because of possible inclement weather.
Lottery-game winner

Constance C. Davis of Warren won $50,000 after having one of two tickets that matched all five numbers drawn in the Ohio Lottery’s Dec. 8 $100,000 Rolling Cash 5 game.
After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 31 percent, Davis receives a check for $34,500. Using auto lotto, she purchased the ticket from Convenient Food Mart, 1409 Elm Road in Warren. The winning numbers were 2-3-14-26-30.
Convenient Food Mart receives a $500 agent bonus for selling a winning ticket.
Holder of the other winning ticket sold at CD Food Mart in Massillon has not come forward to claim the prize.
Alleged assault

Police and school officials are investigating a report that a bus driver for the district assaulted a 10-year-old boy Thursday afternoon.
According to a police report, the boy who attends Glenwood Middle School told his parents and officers the bus driver became upset at students who were standing and that the driver grabbed him by the shirt, pushed him back into his seat and made fun of his eyeglasses.
The boy also told police that he was not standing on the bus and the driver has previously picked on him because of his eyeglasses.
Robbery reported

A 44-year-old Beck Street Southeast man said two men in ski masks approached him as he was leaving his home about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, put a gun to his head and ordered him back inside.
The men took $160 in cash from the man, had him unhook his 42-inch flat-screen television, pushed him into a closet and put furniture in front of the door. The men took the television, valued at $1,000, and left in a dark pickup truck, the victim said.
Man robbed, injured
WARREN
A 55-year-old Garden Street Northwest man said he was robbed by two men inside his home about 7 p.m. Thursday.
About $130 was taken from him, he said. He was treated at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital afterward for unspecified injuries, police said.
Keep Fido Warm
Kim Biamonte of Penn-Ohio Humane Society is continuing her annual program, Keep Fido Warm, in which free straw is delivered for outside dog boxes to keep the animals warm in the cold winter months.

The sixth annual Coats for Kids Giveway will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. next Saturday at NorthMar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, 3855 E. Market St.
Hundreds of coats will be given away, said organizer Bob Dean, a Warren councilman.
Besides the church, other sponsors are Community Volunteer Council and Trumbull County Habitat For Humanity.
