Poland students win ribbons in poster contest
Neighbors | Shaiyla Hakeem .Dobbins Elementary fourth-grader Maggie Brogan and third-grader Brooke Bobbey received ribbons for the Mahoning County Juvenile Court Community Advisory Board's poster contest. Brogan placed third and Bobbey placed second in their grade level.
Several Poland elementary students earned top-three honors in Mahoning County Juvenile Court Community Advisory Board’s seventh annual poster contest.
This year’s theme was “Reach for the Stars-The Sky is the Limit with Education Around the World.”
Third and fourth-graders from elementary schools throughout Mahoning County participated in the contest. Ribbons were awarded to two elementary students per grade level.
A first-place ribbon was given to North Elementary fourth-grader Lauren Sienkiewicz. Second-place ribbons were awarded to Dobbins Elementary third-grader Brooke Bobbey and fourth-grader Mykaela Bieznieks. Dobbins fourth-grader Maggie Brogan earned third place.
The poster contest winners and their parents were treated to breakfast Nov. 18 at The Embassy and received their ribbons.
