Court grants access to company records in embezzlement case

YOUNGSTOWN

Attorneys for Scott and Linda Adair, accused of embezzling nearly $1 million from Southwind Trucking Inc., want more time to review the company’s corporate records.

The Adairs, of Canfield, are accused of embezzling from Southwind Trucking Inc. of Austintown between March 1, 2004, and Oct. 31, 2007.

Scott Adair was co-owner of the company at the time.

Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court approved a request from the Adairs’ lawyers to access to a number of records, including bank statements, credit-card statements. and federal income-tax records.
