These communities have declared a snow emergency: Youngstown, Warren, and Niles, Struthers, Girard, Campbell and Boardman.

Under the emergency, parking is banned on all streets in Youngstown, Warren and Niles until further notice; Boardman until noon Friday.

Continuing lake effect snow is expected for the next several days, with accumulations difficult to predict.

Those in violation will be towed at the owner’s expense. Residents are also reminded they are not to remove snow from their properties and place it in the street.

Youngstown’s emergency specifies that parking is prohibited on all streets except streets or alleys less than 25 feet wide with no driveway options.
