MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Dec. 8: Chicken quarter, rice pilaf, broccoli, unsweetened applesauce, rye bread with margarine, oatmeal cream cookie (angel food cake available) grape juice and milk.

Thursday, Dec. 9: Hamburger on a bun with ketchup and mustard, cheesy mashed potatoes, green beans, regular or unsweetened mandarin oranges and milk.

Friday, Dec. 10: Cheese omelet, sausage patty, seasoned potatoes, unsweetened cinnamon applesauce, blueberry muffin, orange juice and milk.

Saturday, Dec. 11: Cold cuts on a bun with mayonnaise and mustard, carrots with ranch dressing, orange, apple juice and milk.

Monday, Dec. 13: Turkey slice with gravy, mashed potatoes, brussels spouts, wheat bread with margarine, orange and milk.

Tuesday, Dec. 14: Chicken parmigiana with pasta, provolone cheese and sauce, lima beans, tossed salad with french dressing, sweetened or unsweetened fruited gelatin and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.
