Santa will greet children at park

Area children will have an opportunity to visit Santa Claus from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and each day through Dec. 18 at Santa’s Cottage at Tylee Park on West Liberty Street, near the uptown square.

Tylee Park Restoration Committee and Hubbard Historical Society are sponsoring the free holiday event. Santa’s mailbox also is located in the park.

The Historical Society will also open McBride House at 27 Hager St. for visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. There will be a sale of Christmas gift items such as historic throws, Tylee Park and Stewart-Kyle Christmas ornaments, note cards and a selection of Cats Meows.
