Malone to host J Caf

Casey Malone will host the J Caf at noon Dec. 15 at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.
Malone, host of “The Casey Malone Show,” which airs Saturdays at noon on WFMJ and Sundays at 7 a.m. on WBCB, will feature one of her favorite meals at this special event, acting as both guest chef and entertainment for the day.
The cost is $7 for members and $10 for nonmembers. After Friday, the cost is $12. For reservations, call 330-746-3251, ext. 195.
Grant received
YOUNGSTOWN
The Mahoning and Columbiana County Training Association received a $140,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Development.
The association was among 11 Ohio organizations receiving “Early Warning Network” funding from the state.
The money is to be used to help the agencies identify and assist companies at risk of closure and layoffs.
Conservation fund
YOUNGSTOWN
Eastgate Regional Council of Governments is announcing the start of another round of Clean Ohio Conservation Fund for Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
The conservation fund is focused on protecting land in its natural state.
Those eligible to apply are local governments, parks and joint recreation districts, conservancy districts, soil and water conservation districts and qualifying nonprofit organizations.
A 25 percent local match is required for all projects.
Pre-applications are due Jan. 28, and the final applications are due April 8. For information, call Eastgate at 330-779-3800.

Tender Care Achievement Center Inc., 250 Mumford Circle, is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s child and adult care food program.
