Carolyn Tabachino | Sam Alonso
The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 2 as Carolyn Tabachino and Reminderville Mayor Sam Alonso were united in marriage at the Reminderville Village Hall. Officiating at the wedding was the Rev. Mel Trent.
The couple accepted congratulations during a candlelight dinner reception at Maggiano’s in Beachwood before leaving for a honeymoon in Florida.
The bride is a daughter of Mike and Jan Giba of Columbiana, and the groom is a son of Dave Alonso of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Barbara Alonso of Austintown.
Mike and Nicole Tabachino and Samantha, Sabrina and Savannah Alonso served as attendants for their parents.
Mrs. Alonso is employed by General Motors at Lordstown.
Mayor Alonso retired from General Motors, where he was employed 31 years. He is serving his third term as mayor of Reminderville. He also is president of Alonso Consulting and is vice president of the advisory board at Kent State University, Geauga Campus.
The couple live in Reminderville.
