Danielle Adams had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Tyra White added 17 points as Texas A&M overcame a poor second-half start. The Golden Bears (5-2) took advantage of five Texas A&M turnovers to go on an 11-0 run in the first four minutes of the second half and take a 40-38 lead. The Aggies (6-0) responded with a 12-1 run to go back on top 50-41 with 131/2 minutes to play. Texas A&M outscored California 8-4 over the next few minutes to stretch the lead to 58-45 with 9 minutes remaining.

Freshman Taylor Palmer scored 22 points off the bench to lead West Virginia. Asya Bussie and freshman Brooke Hampton added 14 points apiece for the Mountaineers (8-0), and Madina Ali had 13 points. Palmer and Hampton combined for 10 3-pointers.
