‘Best Christmas’ at Kent-Trumbull

The family-friendly holiday comedy “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” opens a two-weekend run Friday at Kent-Trumbull Theater, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW.
Curtain times for the play, directed by Patricia M. Fagan, are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Dec. 17 and 18; and 3 p.m. Dec. 12 and 19.
“Pageant” tells the story of the six poorly-behaved Herdman children, who find themselves in the annual Christmas play at a church. Everyone thinks the pageant will turn out to be a disaster, but they are pleasantly surprised.

Carnegie Science Center will have its third NASA Family Science Night on Tuesday for middle-school students and their families.
Participants learn about rocketry, solar power and space exploration through a variety of hands-on activities developed by NASA.
