55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at St. Mary Church for the annual Christmas dinner at noon Tuesday. Members should take hats, gloves or whatever keeps a child warm.
Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at A La Cart in Canfield. Dennis Gallo will entertain on the keyboard. Please carpool. There are a few seats available for Wednesday’s trip to Erie, Pa., to see the show “Christmas Memories” at Station Dinner Theater. Call 330-332-4791 for information. There will be no board meeting this month.
Coitsville Seniors will have a Christmas party at 1 p.m. Monday at Bedford Trails in Coitsville. Devotions will be given by Dorothy Chrilla. December birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and there will be caroling, a 50-50 drawing and card bingo.
Freetimers, Youngstown State University retirees, will have their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s restaurant, Route 224 in Boardman.
Girard Seniors Citizens will meet at Amen Corner, 20 W. Main St., Girard, for a Christmas party at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Members are to note the time change. Doors open at 11. December birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and the Senior Citizen of the Year will be announced. There will be musical entertainment.
Holy Name Seniors will meet for a Christmas party at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 in Founders Hall. Members are asked to take canned goods to be donated to St. Vincent De Paul Society. There will be a buffet lunch, raffles, cards and bingo. Officers will serve as hostesses. The next meeting will be Feb. 27.
Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10 (Mahoning and Columbiana Counties) will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Brandywine Clubhouse, 3390 Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown. Members are asked to take a covered casserole dish. Please, no desserts. In lieu of a gift exchange, members are asked to take new unwrapped children’s item (books, crafts, board games), to be donated to Akron Children’s Hospital.
