No. 6 Michigan State too much for B-G

EAST LANSING, Mich.
Durrell Summers scored 14 points, and No. 6 Michigan State went on a 21-1 run early in the second half to put away Bowling Green in a 74-39 victory Saturday.
The Spartans (6-2) were coming off a five-point loss at Duke on Wednesday and didn’t look sharp at all in the early going.
MICHIGAN 65, HARVARD 62
ANN ARBOR, Mich.
Stu Douglass scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half as Michigan rallied.
The game marked Harvard coach Tommy Amaker’s return to Michigan, where he was in charge from 2001-07.
Zack Novak finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolverines (5-2) while Darius Morris added 13 points.
Wisconsin 76, South Dakota 61.
MADISON, Wis.
Jon Leuer scored a career-high 29 points and Jordan Taylor narrowly missed the first triple double in Wisconsin history.
Taylor finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
Iowa 70, Idaho State 53
IOWA CITY, Iowa
Bryce Cartwright scored 15 points and Matt Gatens added 14 to lead Iowa.
Broderick Gilchrest led Idaho State (2-4) with 14 points.
Iowa (4-4) led by 18 at halftime, but was outscored 27-14 over the first 11 minutes of the second half. Idaho State made 11 of 12 free throws during the run.
Mike Lacey’s pair of free throws with 9:09 left cut Iowa’s lead to 51-46.
No. 22 Purdue 66, Alabama 47
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.
E’Twaun Moore had 23 points and nine rebounds to help Purdue.
JaJuan Johnson added 17 points for the Boilermakers (7-1).
The center took only 10 shots while constantly facing double teams, but he made up for it by making 7 of 8 free throws and grabbing seven rebounds.
No. 20 Illinois 73, Gonzaga 61
SEATTLE
Demetri McCamey finished with 11 points and seven assists and Illinois was blistering from beyond the arc.
Mike Tisdale hit a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to extend a 34-28 lead, and the Illini (8-1) went on a 14-3 run to take a 62-44 advantage.
Penn State 77, Duquesne 73
STATE COLLEGE, Pa.
Talor Battle scored 31 points and eight rebounds, Jeff Brooks added 17 points and injury-depleted Penn State beat Duquesne.
Indiana 79, Savannah State 57
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.
Verdell Jones scored 18 points, Christian Watford finished with 14 and Maurice Creek added 11 to help Indiana (7-1), which has won all seven home games this year.
