Canfield High graduate Angelo Babbaro rushed seven times for 47 yards and returned four kickoffs for 93 yards for Villanova (8-4) as the defending FCS champions scored 47 of the game’s final 50 points to pull away in the second round of the playoffs.

N. Dakota State 42, Montana State 17

BOZEMAN, MONT.

D.J. McNorton rushed for 207 yards and a career-high four touchdowns as North Dakota State overpowered Montana State in the fourth quarter. McNorton ran for 163 yards and all of his TDs in the second half, and the Bison (9-4) scored four times after falling behind 17-14 on the first play the fourth quarter. Denarius McGhee was 19 for 32 for 223 yards and a touchdown for the Big Sky Conference co-champion Bobcats (9-3), whose offensive coordinator is former YSU offensive coordinator Brian Wright.

Appalachian State 42, Western Illinois 14

Quarterback DeAndre Presley rushed for 264 yards and two touchdowns to lead Appalachian State. With an inch of snow on the ground and flurries throughout the afternoon, Appalachian State (10-2) used that to its advantage against the pass-oriented Leathernecks (9-5) with a pair of first-half interceptions, turning them into scores.

Wofford 17, Jacksonville State 14

JACKSONVILLE, ALA.

Eric Breitenstein ran for two touchdowns to lead Wofford. Breitenstein finished with 178 yards on 28 carries, and ran for a 3-yard TD to put the Terriers (10-2) ahead 17-8 with 9:14 left.

Georgia Southern 31, William & Mary 15

WILLIAMSBURG, VA.

Jaybo Shaw ran for three touchdowns and Georgia Southern used its triple option to run for 423 yards. Freshman Robert Brown ran for 178 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles (9-4).

Delaware 42, Lehigh 20

NEWARK, DEL.

Pat Devlin threw four touchdown passes to lead Delaware. Devlin, who was 19-for-26 passing for 256 yards, passed 29 yards to Mark Schenauer, which put the Blue Hens (10-2) ahead for good, 14-10, with 11:56 left in the second quarter.

E. Washington 37, SE Missouri 17.

CHENEY, WASH.

Taiwan Jones rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns and Eastern Washington pulled away in the second half. Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles (10-2).

New Hampshire 45, Bethune-Cookman 14

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.

Kevin Decker threw for three touchdown passes in the third quarter for New Hampshire (8-4).
