Phantoms extend winning streak

YOUNGSTOWN — Quinn Smith’s second goal of the game gave the Youngstown Phantoms a 4-3 victory over Team USA on Saturday at the Covelli Centre.

With 2:10 remaining, Smith lifted a backhanded shot over goaltender Matt McNeely, giving the Phantoms their fourth-straight win.

Ty Loney and John Fritsche also scored for the Phantoms.

East Palestine native J.T. Miller’s goal tied the game for Team USA at 3-3 about three minutes before Smith’s winning tally.
