Canfield swimmers dive into new season

The Canfield High School swimming and diving team will be open its season today at 3 p.m. at YSU in a quad meet against Wooster, Boardman and Warren Harding .

Andrea Linnelli will return as head coach and Jane Heaven will return as assistant coach this season. This year’s team features senior captains Hilary Allen, Alexx Montalto, Drew Wellham and Ryan O’Malley.

Seniors Jen Cardone, Max Gocala, Alexa Pool, Alyssa Pool, Kelsey Santangelo, Calin Solomon, Gavin Trebilcock and Gia Velasquez will provide experience in the water for the Cards. The team also includes juniors Mark Dalvin, Rachel Mikolay, Taylor Rodenbaugh, Jake Smith, Chris Wilkins and Kathryn Zetts; sophomores Lily Aey, Mike Cardone, Leslie Davis, Mike Dohar, Erin Loomis and Nick Montalto and freshmen Mallory Allen, Drew Bennett, Daniel Bogen, David Dalvin, Michael DiDomenico, Briana O’Malley, Adam Weiss, Jamie Wellham and Olivia Williamson.

The team’s three divers are senior Adrianna Oddo, junior Jamie Blank and freshman Ally Chiu.
