Chyna Davis scored 18 points and Katrina Larson added 14 for Mooney (1-2), which took a 25-8 halftime lead. Brooke Schrieber had 18 points, three steals and two blocks for Springfield (0-2), while Kelsey Larson had eight points and three rebounds.

Massillon Perry 53, Ursuline 39

Aurielle Irizarry had 12 points and Courtney Powell added 11 with 18 rebounds for the Irish, who were outscored 14-4 in the second quarter. Leah Halkides led Perry with 13 points.

Poland 49, Beaver Local 28

POLAND

Emily Rollo made three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points to help Poland (2-0), which took a 27-10 lead at halftime. Alyssa Shields added eight points in a balanced scoring effort for the Bulldogs. Kenzie Weber scored seven for Beaver Local (0-2).

Hubbard 48, Salem 46

SALEM

Allie Deluco scored 15 points to lead three Eagles in double figures. Krista Julian added 13 points and Courtney Sargent had 11 for Hubbard (1-1), which outscored Salem 17-9 in the fourth. Katherine Stiff had 16 points and Chelsea Fuson 11 for Salem (1-2), which missed a 15-footer in the closing seconds.

LaBrae 52, Brookfield 27

LEAVITTSBURG

Julie Gibson scored 15 points to lead three Vikings in double figures. Danielle Webber added 11 points and Courtney Aldridge had 10 for LaBrae (1-0), which outscored the Warriors (1-1) 24-7 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Tori Thompson scored 12 to lead Brookfield.

Newton Falls 51, Crestview 48

NEWTON FALLS

Rachel Ellis scored 15 points, all in the second half, to lead Newton Falls. Bridgette Click added 11 as the Tigers overcame a rough night at the free throw line (22 of 42) to hold on. Ashley Harrison scored 22 points, including 15 from the free throw line, to lead Crestview and Chelsea Caudill added 11.

McDonald 50, Windham 48

McDONALD

Taylor Stanley scored 18 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists for McDonald (1-2), which outscored Windham 9-7 in overtime to get the win. Jamie Stellmar added 12 points and Dani Novak had five points and seven rebounds. Caitlyn Isler scored 23 points, including a 3-pointer in the last seconds of regulation to force overtime, for Windham. Danielle Hickman added 12 points.

Lowellville 65, Maplewood 25

LOWELLVILLE

Taylor Hvisdak scored 18 points to lead three Lowellville players in double figures. Kaye Solak had 14 points and Maddie Opritza added 11 for Lowellville (2-0), which opened a 40-9 halftime lead. Taylor Snyder scored eight to lead Maplewood.

Leetonia 42, Columbiana 37

COLUMBIANA

Clarissa Perkins had 20 points and Lauren Ketterman had 12 as Leetonia’s 20-9 halftime lead held up through the final two quarters. Hayley Goist had 15 points, five steals, five assists and three rebounds for the Clippers. Of Columbiana’s 27 rebounds, Khylea Fullum had nine rebounds, while Katey Orr grabbed eight rebounds.

Southington 49, Mathews 28

VIENNA

Abbie Pate had 16 points and Rachel Wilson 13 for Southington, while senior Julie Wise had 13 points for the Mustangs, who managed to have just one double-digit quarter.
