Girls accused of poking students with lancet in middle school

BELLAIRE, Ohio

A sheriff in eastern Ohio says two girls have been charged with assault for allegedly poking 11 students at their middle school with a lancet, a pricking device commonly used to obtain small blood samples from diabetics. Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson said the girls, age 12 and 13, were charged Thursday.
