CLUB CALENDAR | Local organizations plan meetings


ASSOCIATIONS

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. There will be a dinner and musical entertainment by Rachelle Joy and Brian Palumbo. Members are asked to take an item to be donated to Akron Children’s Hospital. Youngstown Panhellenic Alumnae Association will have its holiday luncheon party Dec. 11 at the Lake Club. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m., followed by entertainment planned for the season.

BOOSTERS

Girard Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school cafeteria.

McDonald Music Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the high school.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates are invited.

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1955 will meet for its monthly breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ Restaurant, South Avenue in the Mathews Road Plaza, Boardman.

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1963 will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at Bogey’s, Route 616, Coitsville. Guests are welcome.

Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. No reservations are required, and all classmates and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of January and June 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

CLUBS

Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Dec. 13 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. At the Nov. 8 meeting, Mill Creek MetroParks Police Chief James Willock presented a program on “Scam Awareness.” The informative talk centered around identity theft and crime prevention. Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will have a dinner and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman. The cost is $13, and reservations are required. John C. Poland Women’s Club will meet at noon Monday at the Springfield Grill for a Christmas luncheon and a $10 wrapped gift exchange. There will be a cash bar.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will host an annual Christmas party at 1 p.m. Sunday. Members are asked to take a casserole. Reservations will be accepted today at 330-792-5124. Anyone wishing to honor a loved one is asked to take a Christmas bulb. There will be a $5 fee for members and a $7 fee for guests.

GUILDS

Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet at noon Wednesday in the banquet room at Frankie’s Main Street Caf , 368 N. Main St., Hubbard. There will be a holiday luncheon and an ornament exchange. LEAGUES

Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League will have a Christmas social Monday at Michael Alberini’s Restaurant on state Route 224 in Boardman. Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7. Members are reminded to take items to be donated to Sojourner House for victims of domestic violence. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Junior Seton Circle will meet for a Christmas luncheon at noon Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The program will be given by Sister Regina Rogers of Dorothy Day House. Hostesses will be Gerry Mansour, Gwen Majernik, Marilyn Rhiel, Madge Douglas and Louise Manley. Fran Sullivan and Ellen Hart are in charge of a social-service Christmas collection for the needy.

McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Ave.

Seton lll will meet at noon Thursday at the Saxon Club for a Christmas theme luncheon. The charity committee will take a collection for needy families, and the social committee will have the program. Members are reminded to be prepared to participate in the “Who Am I” project. St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Struthers K. of C. Ladies will have their Christmas party at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at Dona Vito’s Italian Grill in Struthers. The group will eat at 1 p.m. Hostesses are Pat Waller and Pat Smith.

Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Senior Center of Mahoning County, Fifth Avenue, Youngstown.
