City police are investigating two separate armed robberies on the city’s South Side about 45 minutes apart on the same day.
According to police reports, a 16-year-old LaClede Avenue boy got off the school bus and was walking home at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday when he was approached by three teens asking for the time. The boy told officers he told the group of teens he did not have the time, but all three then pointed guns at him.
Reports say the group of teens removed the boy’s jacket, his hat, his backpack and the shoes from his feet before running off. Police could not find the group of teens.
Police also are investigating the Wednesday robbery of a delivery driver working at a Chinese restaurant in the 3900 block of Market Street.
According to reports, the female driver went to a home in 200 block of East Florida just before 8 p.m. to make a delivery. She told police she knocked on the door and a man and woman came out of the house with the man holding a gun.
Reports say the man pushed the delivery driver, took the food as well as $50, a bank card and a driver’s license. The driver went to a nearby gas station and called police.
