The amusing sendup finds offbeat crime-busters Shawn and Gus (James Roday, Dule Hill) in the quirky mountain town of Dual Spires, where they investigate the mysterious drowning death of a high school girl. Joining in on the fun are several “Twin Peaks” veterans, including Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Dana Ashbrook, Robyn Lively, Lenny Von Dohlen, Ray Wise and Catherine Coulson.

Couchenour to play at Rockin’ event
COLUMBIANA
Local composer/musician Jim Couchenour has released his first holiday album, “A Quiet Canvas Christmas.” The easy-listening CD features traditional Christmas songs and an original composition titled “Still With Us.” Couchenour will debut the song live at Rockin’ Around the Town Square, a musical event at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., Columbiana. He will perform with Chris Bayda and the Main Street Theater Band. “We are continuing to seek ways to bring wholesome family entertainment to Columbiana and surrounding communities,” said Couchenour. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Concert band sets Christmas show

The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will perform a Christmas concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., downtown. Admission is a cash donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. The YACCB, now in its 25th year, consists of professional and recreational musicians.
