Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through-and-pickup stuffed chicken breast dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. Meals include mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $7. No reservations required.
FRIDAY
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.
Living Testimony Ministries, 34 Jacobs Road, Youngstown, will serve dinners of chicken, haddock or catfish with three sides, beverage, dessert and roll for $7.50 from noon to 6 p.m.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi Friday. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will sell all-you-can-eat fish dinners from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The meals include deep-fried ocean perch, potatoes, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Meat loaf is also available. The holiday bazaar room will be open for holiday shopping.
VFW Post 9571, Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, is having an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Also available will be chicken fingers or shrimp. The costs are $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.
SATURDAY
Ecumenical Council of Churches, in partnership with the Educational Bicycle Project, will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast/brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Campbell Elementary/Middle School Cafetorium, 2000 Community Circle, Campbell. The cost is $5 in advance for adults and students or $6 at the door. Children 3 to 5 are $3. There also will be a basket auction.
Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, Poland, will have a Christmas Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. All homemade cookies will be sold by the pound, and specialty cookies and breads will be individually priced.
St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will have a free community meal from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
