MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at seven locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Sept. 1: Steak burger on a bun with mushroom sauce, harvard beets, vegetable medley, apricots (unsweetened available) and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 2: Grilled chicken with gravy, rice pilaf, glazed carrots, spinach salad with French dressing, wheat bread with margarine, grape juice and milk.

Friday, Sept. 3: Tuna noodle casserole, broccoli, whole kernel corn, wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches (unsweetened available) golden cupcake (angel food cake available) and milk.

Saturday, Sept. 4: Cold cuts on a bun with mustard and mayonnaise, fresh fruit, coleslaw, macaroni salad and milk.

Monday, Sept. 6: Closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday, Sept. 7: Chicken breast patty on a bun, green bean casserole, cauliflower, diced pears (unsweetened available) and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.
