The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony as Jenelle Christine Hallos and Joel Christopher Wolfe were united in marriage on May 22 in St. James Catholic Church.

The Rev. David Merzweiler officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Michael and JoEllen Hallos of Berlin Center and son of Daniel and Debra Wolfe of East Liverpool.

The couple were honored at a reception that evening at The Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. They honeymooned in Hawaii and live in Cleveland.

The bodice of the bride’s strapless white gown was enhanced Swarovski crystals and the full tulle skirt flowed into a chapel train.

Dark blue gowns were worn by Jennifer Hallos, the bride’s sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Rachel Aucoin, Amy Gyetko, Diane Ramhoff, Amy Ozenghar, Amanda Young, Debra Mayne and Wendy Gutridge, and the junior bridesmaid, Hannah Hallos, the bride’s cousin. Flower girl was her cousin Sydney White.

Patrick Jaeger served as best man, and groomsmen were Christopher Canitano, Steven Larson, John Hanish, Steven Schmelick, William Cornell, Paul Martanovic, and Shane Carr, the groom’s brother-in-law. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Jeffery Carr.

The bride graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting and from the University of Denver with a master’s degree in taxation. She is a senior tax specialist, M&A tax strategy, with the Eaton Corp. in Cleveland.

The groom graduated from KSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance and from Franklin University with a bachelor’s in accounting. He is a tax supervisor with Thornhill Financial Inc. in Strongsville.
