Children honor Weavers for 56th anniversary

CAMPBELL

The children of Franklin and Elvira Weaver of Campbell honored the couple at a 56th wedding anniversary picnic on Aug. 28 at Homestead Park.

Hosting the celebration were the couple’s five children, Frank (Shirley) Weaver Jr., Sonya (Vince) Murray, Richard (Earlina) Weaver, Renee (Willie) Smith, and Michelle Weaver, all of Youngstown. The Weavers have 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

The former Elvira Miller is a homemaker, and Franklin retired from the Ohio State Liquor Store and WRTA bus service.

The couple were married on Aug. 28, 1954, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown.
