Aug. 4

Theft: Two nail guns, assorted tools and a digital camera were stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Arrel Road.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a shed in the 2300 block of Knollwood Avenue and removed a tractor, a push mower, two chain saws and other items, for a $3,500 loss.

Recovered property: A boys bicycle was found in the 6100 block of Diana Drive.

Theft: An undisclosed sum of money was missing from The Sandwich Factory, 3057 Center Road.

Domestic violence: Mark S. Ferguson, 39, was taken into custody at his residence, 3015 Spitler Road, Poland, and charged after a family member reported having been a victim.

Aug. 5

Theft: A hot-water heater, 100 feet of copper piping and an air-conditioning unit were stolen from a home in the 2800 block of Algonquin Drive.

Theft: A $300 nail gun was taken from a home in the 8700 block of Chesterton Road.

Aug. 7

Burglary/criminal damaging: To a garage in the 6500 block of Rose Lynn Place, where two cars were damaged.

Aug. 8

Arson: Someone ignited a bag of feces on a porch in the 3100 block of Dobbins Road, causing $150 damage.

Criminal mischief: Police detained but did not charge juveniles who reportedly placed toilet paper on a vehicle in the 3100 block of Dobbins Road.

Aug. 10

Arrest: A traffic stop near U.S. Route 224 and Struthers Road led to the arrest of 22-year-old Charles L. Semple IV, 9955 Delray St., New Middletown, on a misdemeanor charge of having a weapon while intoxicated. Semple had a handgun with five rounds, a report said.
