A 32-year-old Hubbard man was killed when his motorcycle struck the back of a stopped car on North Leavitt Road at 1:17 p.m. Friday, ejecting him.

Jason E. Fumerola was flown by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he died about 2:30 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The accident occurred just north of the intersection with West Market Street, near Canoe City MetroPark.

Police said Fumerola was traveling north on North Leavitt when he struck the rear of a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped waiting to make a left turn into a private drive.

After impact, Fumerola and his motorcycle left the road on the right. Fumerola was wearing a helmet, the highway patrol said.

The two people in the Blazer, Stephanie D. Vazquez, 32, of Warren, and Isiah M. Vazquez, 10, of Warren, were not injured.
